Precautions visiting the jungle

Take care of your skin

  • Use sun block.
  • Avoid scratching.
  • Disinfect injuries.
  • Avoid exposing your skin to the sun.
  • Avoid dehydration; have water and soft drinks often.

Avoid insects (and aracnids)

  • Always sleep under a mosquito net.
  • Keep your smells and temperature low.
  • Apply insect repellent.
  • Tuck your pants into your socks.
  • Use light-colored clothes.
  • Keep your bags and backpacks closed.

Be careful

  • Remain calm and prudent and avoid taking unnecessary risks.
  • Do not walk barefoot; always check your shoes before wearing them on.
  • Do not put your hands or your feet and do not sit in places that you haven’t visually checked before.
  • Do not drink tap nor river water; have processed drinking water only.
  • Do not touch the animals.
  • Be careful when you bathe in rivers and lakes. When in a boat or a canoe or swimming, use a lifejacket.
  • Borugo provides the first aid kit but not medical assistance; take the drugs under your responsibility.
